The Many Uses of Hemp Plants

According to several scientists, cannabis was not the first plant cultivated by humans, but it was undoubtedly one of the first. Hemp use by humans can be dated back almost 10,000 years, according to the archeologist. The plant appeared in Central Asia, growing well in trash pits of early settlements. Our ancestors enjoyed the highly nutritious seeds, the psychoactive effects of burning the plant, and the strength of its fiber helped it spread around the world.

Early farmers bred the plant to grow long and thin for rope making, or it could be bred to produce more of the resin used for medicinal and spiritual purposes. The plant has adapted to whatever society needed, and that allowed for it to become one of the most widespread plants in human history.
